1. Getting Started with Creating New Crew Members
Create the crew member profile to initiate the PEME process in the Ideagen Maritime Health Provider Application. This step ensures the seafarer’s personal and employment details are accurately captured so the PEME can be assigned, tracked, and reviewed through to completion.

2. Reviewing Documents
Review and assess all medical documentation submitted for the PEME within the PEME module. This includes validating uploaded medical reports, test results, and supporting documents to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. During this step, PEME Managers can request corrections, make manual updates where permitted, and determine whether the PEME is ready for approval or requires further action.
3. Adding Comments
Within the Health Information Exchange (HIE), within the Provider tab where shared documents are available, PEME Managers can add comments related to the PEME review as needed. This functionality is used to communicate with medical providers regarding document submissions, clarifications, or required actions.
4. Reviewing Incoming Comments
Review new and updated comments in the Health Information Exchange (HIE) to stay informed of communications from medical providers and internal stakeholders. The HIE displays responses to prior requests, clarifications on submitted documentation, and additional medical information related to the PEME.
5. Splitting Documents
Split documents when multiple file types or records have been uploaded as a single submission. This helps ensure each document is correctly categorized, reviewed, and assessed during the PEME process.
6. Rejecting Documents
Reject documents in the PEME module when submitted medical documentation is incomplete, incorrect, unclear, expired, or does not meet company or regulatory requirements. Document rejection formally notifies the medical provider that the submission cannot be accepted and requires correction or resubmission.
7. Support
If you experience issues within the Provider application, please submit a support ticket to our Support team for further assistance.
