Ideagen Maritime Technical Service Bulletin
Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform clients of our plan to implement New Relic as a performance monitoring tool for Ideagen Maritime Health and Ideagen Maritime Management. This action is in direct response to client feedback and concerns regarding system speed and performance. By using New Relic, we aim to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, improve system stability, and ensure a better user experience. This is a targeted effort to address your concerns—not a passive change—and reflects our commitment to continuous improvement based on your input.
Description of Issue
We are introducing New Relic, a cloud-based performance monitoring tool, to help us proactively monitor the health and performance of Ideagen Maritime Health and Ideagen Maritime Management across client environments. This tool will enable our team to detect and resolve issues more efficiently, improve system responsiveness, and provide greater visibility into interface activity—without requiring any action from your team or impacting system performance. New Relic will not capture any personal or health information; it will only collect operational performance data. Access to this data will be limited to authorized members of the Ideagen Maritime engineering and support teams for the purpose of system monitoring and diagnostics.
What You Need to Do
To ensure a smooth installation and operation of New Relic, we kindly ask that only clients who use onboard firewalls update their firewall rules to allow connectivity between onboard servers and New Relic’s monitoring service. No action is required for environments without outbound traffic restrictions.
