This article provides the workflow for signing up for and using the Ideagen Maritime Health Crew Health portal to complete the Pre-Employment Medical Exam (PEME) process efficiently.
1. Downloading the checklist
To begin the process:
- Download the checklist provided by your employer.
- Review the checklist to ensure you complete all required examinations for pre-employment.
- Check off items as you complete them.
2. Downloading the PEME document
To obtain the examination document:
- Download the PEME document provided by your employer.
3. Accessing the portal
To access the portal:
- Navigate to the portal link provided by your employer.
4. Creating an account
When logging in for the first time, you will need to create an account.
To create an account:
- Click Sign Up.
- Enter a Username.
- Provide an Email.
- Enter your Crew ID (MPX Number).
- Set your Date of birth.
- Click Next.
- Check your email for a verification number (including spam/junk folders).
- Return to the portal.
- Enter the verification number.
Once verified, you can sign in using the username and password for your account.
5. Navigating the portal
To learn how to navigate the portal:
- Open the Help menu.
- Select Introduction Video.
- Watch the Introduction Video which provides an overview for submitting documents, scheduling appointments, and locating medical providers contact details.
- Select User Guide from the same menu to access an overview guide.
6. Scheduling an appointment
To schedule your medical exam appointment with a provider:
- Follow the instructions from the introduction video.
7. Locating a provider
To locate provider information, such as contact information:
- Access the Medical Providers section.
8. Submitting documents
To submit a document:
- Follow the instructions from the introduction video.
Note: Document size is limited to 4.8 MB per document.
9. Tracking document status
To track updates on your documents:
- Access the Submissions section.
Below are descriptions for the possible statuses:
- Rejected - Document was not approved and additional tasks may be required. Check the comments section for details on what needs to be corrected
- Pending Acceptance - Document has been submitted but is still under review and has not been accepted yet
- Accepted - Document has been reviewed and officially accepted, meaning no further action is needed
10. Viewing document options
To view document options:
- Access the Submissions section.
- Open the More Options menu.
- View the document details.
- View the comment section.
- Send comments regarding the document.
- Add your comment details.
- Resubmit a rejected document after making corrections.
