1. Features
Operations Dashboard Heatmap
Feature code: SE-8215
The Operations Dashboard module introduces an advanced heatmap visualization system for analyzing closed event report patterns across vessel locations.
This enhancement provides SeaEvent Operations administrators with a sophisticated tool for spatial and temporal analysis of safety incidents, enabling data-driven decision-making for vessel safety improvements.
Below is a summary of the key features introduced with the heatmap:
Interactive filtering system
- Event Type Selection - Filter events by category to analyze specific incident patterns
- Location Analysis - View event distribution by deck location for spatial pattern identification
- Date Range Control - Analyse events within specific time periods
- Vessel Selection - Focus analysis on individual vessels or view fleet-wide patterns
Data display and export
- Heatmap visualisation displays only closed event reports
- Interactive colour-coded intensity mapping shows event concentration
- Download format offline analysis and reporting preserves all active filters and data points
- Real-time data updates as events are closed

2. Fixes
Workflow Editor Scrolling Issue
Bug fix code: 931670
Issue
- In the Workflow Editor's Fields tab, the Applicable Type(s) dropdown list exhibits irregular scrolling behavior when containing more than 30 items:
- List position resets unexpectedly
- Empty values appear during rapid scrolling
- Continuous scrolling loop occurs
Fix
- Improved scrolling stability for large type lists (100+ items). This is a temporary fix and complete resolution is scheduled for version 1.18.
Medical Report Employment Data Display

Issue
- Department and Position field values not displaying in Medical Report Employment tab for crew members,
Fix
- Restored proper display of Department and Position data.
- Maintained data persistence while fixing UI representation
- Optimised validation trigger sequence
Medical Records Multiple Person Management
Bug fix code: 951367
Issue
- System incorrectly allowing Medical Report activation for non-injured persons.
- Unable to add new injury records after deleting previous ones.
- Medical Report section appearing for multiple people inappropriately.
Fix
- Added missing validation condition for injury type handling.
Fixed status rules triggering improperly in Wizard.
Restored correct single-person injury record management.
Ensured Medical Report section activates only for designated injured person.
Source Events Report Access
Bug Fix Code: 939511
Issue
- Page not found error when accessing workflow-associated reports from Source Events.
Fix
- Updated secondary event preview component to handle workflow functionality.
- Synchronised component behaviors for workflow-enabled events.
- Restored proper report access from Source Events interface.
NIM Integration
Bug Fix Code: 952156
Issue
- PUT requests not successfully updating events.
Fix
- PUT requests now make correct changes to events.
Workflow Editor Data Search Field

Issue
- Users were being forced to click on the "X" for Data Search fields that were interdependent.
Fix
- Improved user experience with interdependent Data Search fields.
Validation Errors & Required Interdependent Fields
Bug Fix Code: 959974
- Resolved Issues:
- Missing validation errors that did not notify the user of what fields were required by highlighting fields without values in red.
- Disabled fields were being required despite being enabled or disabled by other fields.
Missing Fields & Values in the Reporting Module
Bug Fix Code: 961098
Issue
- Fields in the Types, Fields & Workflows area of SeaEvent Operations were not visible in the Reporting module of SeaEvent Operations.
- Values of fields created from the Types, Fields & Workflows area of SeaEvent Operations were not displaying data values in the Reporting module of SeaEvent Operations.
Fix
- Reporting module of SeaEvent Operations now displays the correct fields and values.
Notifications Drop-Down Functionality
Bug Fix Code: 970041
Issue
- Dropdown search functionality for applicable types in Notifications remains constantly scrolling.
Fix
- Dropdown search functionality should now work as expected.
