Who is this article for?Users who have been asked to provide a HAR file with their ticket.
No elevated access or permissions are required.
Preparation of an HTTP Archive ("HAR") file allows our Support Team to better investigate your concern.
1. Generating a HAR File
To generate the HAR file:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to the page where the issue is occurring.
- Open the Settings menu (three dots).
- Select More Tools, then Developer Tools.
You should see a new panel open to the side. - Switch to the "Network" tab.
- Look for a round Record button in the top left corner of the tab.
If it's red, it's already recording.
If it is grey, click it once to start recording. - Check the Preserve log box.
- Click the Clear button to clear out any existing logs from the Network tab.
- Reproduce the issue you were experiencing before, while the network requests are being recorded.
- Once you have reproduced the issue, click Export HAR (the down arrow) to download.
You can then upload your HAR file to your ticket so that our Support Team can analyze it.
Since the HAR file may contain sensitive content, it's important not to transmit this file as an emailed attachment.
