Clearing Site Data in Chrome
Who is this article for?Users who are having trouble loading pages in their browser.
No elevated access or permissions are required.
SeaCare® will sometime save certain information between pages. Caching helps pages load more quickly by remembering images, videos, and other parts of the web page from the last visit instead of needing to re-render everything with each visit.
Clearing cache can alleviate most common cases ahead of opening a support ticket.
1. Clearing Site Data
A hard refresh clears your browser cache for a specific page, which forces it to load the most recent version of that page.
This could include new scripts, styles or features but does not clear data saved between pages and is less effective to clearing cache through the browser settings.
To perform a hard refresh:
- Windows - Hold down Ctrl, then press F5.
- Mac - Hold down Cmd and Shift, then press R.
If this hasn't worked, follow the steps for clearing your browser cache from Google.
